Run Through Coronavirus | Strength Training For Running | SPARK Your Sole Virtual Race Series

2. SPARK Your Sole Virtual Race Series

 

Lisa and I also came up with a way to keep our healthy runner community motivated and help out our local small businesses that support us as runners or businesses that could use some help during this difficult economic downturn.

 

SPARK Physical Therapy and Lift Your Sole also wanted to provide a nice reward for those in the SPARK Fitness program to culminate 3 months of consistent hard work strength training in our homes during this challenging time period.

 

We will be organizing a series of 3 virtual races to keep you motivated and improve your health even if in person road races are cancelled.  You can run, run/walk, or walk these distances to help keep you healthy and fit this summer!

 

When?

 

Virtual 5k:   June 27th (can run Thursday 6/25 – Sunday 6/28)
Virtual 10k:  July 18th (can run Thursday 7/16 – Sunday 7/19)
Virtual Half Marathon:  August 1st. (can run Thursday 7/30 – Sunday 8/2)

 

How Do You Run A Virtual Race?

 

You pick your course of that distance and you will have that 4 day window to pick a day to complete the race distance (Thursday to Sunday).

Once you are done just screenshot your results on your phone or your watch and email Lisa Tatum directly at customerservice@liftyoursole.com

 

What Will I Get If I Sign Up?

 

1. The motivation to continue moving forward in your health during this global pandemic.

 

2. Success in completing a 5k, 10k, or 13.1 after 3 months of in home workouts and training

5k Race Proceeds: Multisports Academy (MSA)– was founded with a focus on promoting personal fitness and individual empowerment within southern Connecticut. MSA specializes in Small Group Training, Personal Training & Triathlon Coaching.  This hub is the fabric in our local running and triathalon community in the surrounding New Haven region.

 

10k Race Proceeds:  Woodbridge Running Company wanted to help our local New Haven community and would like us to support the Elizabeth Celotto Child Care Center  which helps teenage parents remain in school and achieve academically and to support the emotional, cognitive, social and physical development of teenage parents and their children in the New Haven community.  Watch THIS VIDEO to see what this amazing program does.
